The Brazillian architect and filmmaker, Marcio Kogan is the the designer behind the Jerry! Collection. Marcio Kogan is also the founder and professor of the team at studiomk27, a paulista studio with almost forty years of experience in design and architecture.
The projects created by Marcio Kogan are characterized by their architectural details, simplicity, great climatic comfort through sustainability, strong relations between the external and internal, the use of pure volumes and the application of traditional elements. He likes the use of raw materials, such as wood, concrete and stone. He has almost always a reference to Brazil and it's modern architecture in his designs.
Marcio has won several awards in his time, Säo Paulo Architecture Biennial, Architectural Review, Dedalo Minosse, Record House, the Wallpaper Design Awards are just some of them. He has also recieved a lot of recognition as an honorary member of the American Insitute of Architects and of the board of Säo Paulo Museum of Art, a visiting professor at the Escola Da Cidade and the Politecnico di Milano. He has also been named one of the 100 most influential Brazillians in the world.
The studiomk27 was in chosen to represent Brazil at the 2012 Venice Biennal and has also won several awards for their exceptional work.
